Astride Fundraiser Breakfast Buffet
Moose Lodge in Waite Park
8:00 AM to 12:00 AM

This coming Sunday, March 14, Project ASTRIDE is hosting a fundraising breakfast buffet at the Moose Lodge in Waite Park. The doors will open at 8 a.m. and serving will continue until noon. The Moose Lodge is located at 1300 3rd Street North, Waite Park, on the corner, across from the Sauk River.

From a wheelchair to the top of a horse - possible? Yes, that is what Project ASTRIDE does - provides therapeutic and recreational horseback riding for individuals with disabilities.

Project ASTRIDE, a 100% volunteer non-profit organization, has been serving individuals with both physical and cognitive challenges for over 20 years. Riders with disabilities as varied as (but not limited to) cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, and autism have participated in the program. Certified instructors set individualized goals for each participant, and, working with trained volunteers, conduct riding sessions from April into October.
